Scampston Hall - near Malton
A fabulous historical venue not far from Malton, the food capital of the north. Scampston Hall is still a family home, very much involved with the local community hosting annual craft fairs, plant sales, vintage car ralleys and much more. This will be the second year that Jacqueline has hosted workshops at Scampston in the magnificent Richardson conservatory.
Workshops at Scampston Hall are held in the magnificent Richardson conservatory within the walled garden. The workshop space is light and airy with views onto the walled garden. As an added bonus, admission to the walled garden is free for workshop participation and can be enjoyed during lunchtime and in the afternoon at the end of the workshop day.
Day 1 will be about choosing your design and colours. Prick and pounce and the introduction of new stitches. Day 2 will be about consolidating known stitches and uping technique and the introduction of more advanced stitches. All the materials you need will be provided in your bespoke kit. Before going home each day you can treat yourself to a walk around the walled gardens or have a browse and maybe make a purchase or two, at the home grown Scampston Hall plants tables. You can bring your own lunch or order something from the yummy Bothies bistro. But don’t order too much on the second day as we’ll be finishing with an indulgent cream tea.
